Import the product reviews your WooCommerce store already publishes and show them in Shapo widgets, on your store or on any other site. All you need is your store's address. There is no API key to create and nothing to install in WordPress.
Step 1: Open the import window
Log in to Shapo, go to Testimonials and click Import.
Step 2: Choose WooCommerce
In the list of sources, choose WooCommerce. You can type "woo" in the search box to find it.
Step 3: Paste your store URL
Paste your store's address, for example yourstore.com, into the field.
Step 4: Set your filters
Choose the minimum star rating to import and whether to skip reviews that have no text, then click Fetch Reviews.
Shapo shows your store's name and how many reviews it has, followed by the newest reviews that match your filters.
Step 5: Choose the reviews to import
Tick the reviews you want and click Import Reviews. You can also:
Import up to 1,000 of the newest matching reviews at once (Pro plan)
Tag the reviews, for example by product, so a widget can show only that product's reviews
Turn on Auto-import new testimonials to add new reviews every 24 hours (Pro plan)
Step 6: Show them in a widget
Your WooCommerce reviews are now in Testimonials. Add them to a widget or your Wall of Love like any other review. To put the widget on your store, see How to Add Your Shapo Widget to a WordPress or WooCommerce Site.
What gets imported
Star rating and review text
The reviewer's name as your store shows it, and their Gravatar if they have one
A link to the product the review is on
Shapo reads the approved reviews on all your products, newest first, through the WooCommerce Store API. That is the same public API WooCommerce's block themes use to show reviews.
Good to know
Review plugins. Customer Reviews for WooCommerce (CusRev) and ReviewX save their reviews as regular WooCommerce reviews, so those reviews are imported too. Review photos are not imported, because the Store API only shares the text, rating and reviewer.
Judge.me. Judge.me keeps reviews in its own system. If your store uses Judge.me, import with the Judge.me source instead.
Reviews without stars. WordPress lets a shopper leave a review without a star rating. Those reviews are skipped.
The same review on several products. Some stores copy one review onto every colour or size of a product, and some customers paste the same text into each product they bought. Shapo imports the newest copy once.
"This store does not share its WooCommerce reviews publicly". Your site is blocking the WordPress REST API for visitors, usually through a security plugin, or WooCommerce is too old to have the Store API. Allow the /wp-json/wc/store/ routes in your security plugin, or update WooCommerce, then try again.
"WooCommerce was not found on this site". Check that you pasted the address of the store itself. If the shop runs on a different platform, choose that platform's source instead.
