The free Shapo plugin puts your Shapo widgets, testimonial forms and surveys on your WordPress site without copying any code. Connect your Shapo account once, then pick what to show by name in the block editor, Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks or WPBakery. It works on every Shapo plan, including the free plan, and on WooCommerce stores.
Step 1: Install the Shapo plugin
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add Plugin (called Add New in older versions of WordPress).
Search for Shapo, then click Install Now and Activate.
WordPress opens the Shapo page, which you can find again any time in the admin menu.
You can also download the plugin from wordpress.org/plugins/shapo and upload it under Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin.
Step 2: Connect your Shapo account
On the Shapo page, click Connect with Shapo.
Sign in to Shapo, or create a free account.
Choose the workspace to connect. You are sent back to WordPress, and the Shapo page shows which workspace is connected.
The connection lets the plugin list the widgets, forms and surveys in that workspace so you can pick them in the editor. It cannot see your reviews, contacts or billing. You can disconnect it any time, from the Shapo page in WordPress or from Settings > Integrations in your Shapo dashboard.
Prefer not to connect? Skip this step and paste the id or embed code from Shapo into the block or shortcode instead.
Step 3: Create a widget, form or survey in Shapo
If you do not have one yet, create it in your Shapo dashboard first:
Import reviews from Google, WooCommerce, Trustpilot or any other source, then create a widget to show them.
Create a testimonial collection form to collect new testimonials, including video testimonials.
Create an NPS, feedback or AI survey to hear from your customers and visitors.
Step 4: Add it to a page
Block editor
Edit the page or post, click + and add the Shapo Widget block.
Under What to show, choose Reviews widget, Testimonial form or Survey, then pick one from the list. The block shows a live preview.
Click Update or Publish.
Tip: if you paste the embed code you copied from Shapo straight into the editor, it turns into a Shapo Widget block on its own.
Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks and WPBakery
Search your builder's elements for Shapo Widget and drag it onto the page.
Use Choose from Shapo to pick a widget, form or survey from your connected workspace, or Paste an id instead.
Turn on Lazy load to wait until visitors scroll near it, which helps long pages load faster.

Go to Appearance > Widgets and add the Shapo Widget, or use the Shapo Widget block in the site editor.
Show a widget or survey on every page
For something that should follow visitors around the whole site, such as a floating review popup or a feedback survey button:Open the Shapo page in WordPress.
Under Show on every page, pick it in Site-wide embed, or paste its id or embed code if you did not connect.
Click Save Changes.
Add review stars to Google search results
Add [shapo_rating_schema id="WORKSPACE_ID"] to a page to publish review schema (an aggregate rating) built from your Shapo reviews. You can narrow it with tags, name and type, for example [shapo_rating_schema id="WORKSPACE_ID" tags="Blue Shoes" name="Blue Shoes" type="Product"]. Troubleshooting
A new widget does not appear in the list. On the Shapo page, click Refresh next to Your widgets, forms and surveys.
The widget is blank inside a popup, a tab or content that loads as you scroll. On the Shapo page, turn on Load the Shapo script on every page and save. The script then loads before that content appears.
I use a caching or speed plugin. No setup is needed. The plugin stops WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache and Cloudflare Rocket Loader from delaying the Shapo script, which would otherwise leave widgets empty for visitors who never click on the page.
What happens if I disconnect? Widgets already on your pages keep showing. You only lose the list of widgets in the editor until you connect again.
Do I need a paid plan? No. Everything in the plugin works on the free plan, which includes up to 10 testimonials and imported reviews, unlimited widgets and forms, and one survey. Pro removes the testimonial limit and the Shapo branding, and re-imports your reviews every day.
